Shop
We run a small-scale coastal fishing operation with our own boat, mainly targeting flounder, plaice and turbot. Seasonally we also catch garfish, mullet, sea trout and perch. When time allows, we fish for langoustine in the Kattegat, where we also land sole, megrim, monkfish, catfish, weever, pouting, squid and crab.
We offer a wide selection of pickled herring, especially around the holidays – most of which we make ourselves, though we also work with local producers. We smoke salmon, mackerel and herring in-house, while other smoked meats and fish come from nearby smokehouses. Our goal is to always work as locally and sustainably as possible, without unnecessary middlemen. We hold a commercial fishing licence and are part of Närfiskat, which guarantees traceability and responsible fishing.
Smokery
We smoke salmon, mackerel and herring in our own smokery by the harbour. The smoking is done the traditional way, with great care for both flavour and quality. In addition to our own production, we collaborate with nearby smokehouses to offer a wider selection of smoked fish.
Everything we smoke starts with fresh ingredients – primarily from our own catch. You'll find the results in our shop at Banérskajen, where there is always a selection of freshly smoked products.
Dining
Our dining area at Banérskajen is finally open! Here we serve simple and delicious food based on our own fishing and smokery. Think fish and chips with fresh cod, shrimp sandwiches with hand-peeled prawns and hot-smoked salmon straight from the smokery.
We're situated in the harbour with views over the water – perfect for a relaxed lunch. Everything is prepared on-site with the same focus on quality and locally sourced produce that runs through our entire operation.
